Dawn Danis “Noor El Sahar” |

Dawn has been studying Middle Eastern dance for over five years. She has worked with teachers locally and in the Washington metropolitan area as well as those with a presence on the national and international scene (such as Delilah of Seattle, Washington). Dawn’s stage name, Noor el Sahar, is Arabic and means The Light of Dawn. This name signifies her intent to share her own inner light through dance. For Dawn, dance is both a spiritual and a fitness pursuit. It is a means of sharing and nurturing feminine energy in a supportive environment. Her goal as a teacher is to guide students to a place of confidence and good technique so that belly dance can become an avenue of self-expression. Dawn also has many years of experience in professional massage and bodywork, and is currently a recruiter for a university graduate program. Performance Schedule: TBA Class Offering: Beginning Belly Dance: Wed 5:00 pm This class will focus on basic isolations, belly dance movements and combinations that can be used as building blocks for choreography and improvisation. No previous dance experience required. Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in; such as exercise pants, broom stick skirts, tank tops, sports bras, etc. Dance shoes helpful but not required. Students may wish to bring a mat or towel for floor stretches. Walk-ins welcome at beginners class only. Sorry, no space is available for children or spectators. Robin has been studying yoga for 30 years. It helps her keep on top of her Rheumatoid Arthritis. She completed her certification in Integrative Yoga Therapy (IYT) this June. IYT integrates the body, mind and spirit which is the true definition of yoga. She is a member of the Yoga Alliance. Her classes will not be yogarobics or contortions 101. Robin prides herself in modifying poses so that even the most mobility restricted can participate in her classes. Classes incorporate therapeutic yoga, somatics, pranayama, meditation, mudra, and guided imagery. Discover your Chakras Workshop: The 7 major Chakra locations correspond to 7 major nerve ganglia along the spine. The Chakras are energy centers that influence basic instincts and relationships with self and others. Learning about the Chakras gives one access to programmed responses so that they can minimize negative effects and maximize positive effects. Through study of the Chakras, one can make changes in thinking by examining programming and in the body through yoga, exercise, diet and healing of illnesses. Working the body and mind together helps life flow more smoothly and harmoniously. This workshop will include Chakra mapping, guided imagery, asana, pranayama, meditation, mudra, mantra and yoga nidra. Learn how to tap into your natural energies. Jeanne has life experiences as varied as school guidance counselor to businesswoman. Her spiritual quest began in earnest more than 20 years ago. She has studied and continues to study the Truth found in all great religions, and aspires to lead what Emerson describes as "a useful life." Class: Prosperity and Abundance-Using a spiritual approach to achieving and maintaining prosperity and abundance in health, wealth and relationships, students learn how to awaken to and receive what is theirs by Divine right. is a CPA and National Certified Massage Therapist. In 1984, Mary earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from what is now Shepherd University. She has worked at two companies as their controller and at a CPA firm as a senior accountant. She graduated from the Virginia School of Massage in Winchester, Virginia on March 10, 2000. The modalities Mary uses in her massage practice include, Swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascia release, foot reflexology, Reiki energy, chakra balancing, Emotional Freedom Technique, emotional release using Young Living essential oils and raindrop therapy using essential oils. Mary is also a Master in Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki method of natural healing. Feng Shui is the study of the flow of energy. Claudette Knox is a gifted intuitive who has been practicing and teaching metaphysical studies and holistic healing for over 35 years. In 1967, she joined a psychic club in Ashton, Maryland and discovered she had a lot of psychic ability. She studied and fine tuned her psychic skills for several years and then began giving palmistry readings, Tarot readings, and Astrology readings. In 1972, she began teaching Horary Astrology. She has explored and perfected many other divination tools over the years. Claudette has been hired by many large companies to give psychic readings.
